Fishing and Water Sports - Like to go
fishing? How about year round fishing?
Salmon 10lb-50lbs. (Jan 1st - September 30th),
Steelhead 6lb-10lbs. (year round), Rainbow and German Brown trout (year
round). Fish from the park bank or walk a short 150 yards to the 2nd
hottest fishing spot on the river. A shallow set of wading rapids
provide a great spot for fly fishing, casting lures, or glow bugs. Wade
the rapids or launch a shallow drift boat from our cemented boat ramp
and fish as far upstream as the hatchery - 3 miles. Boat downstream 2
miles to the afterbay outlet or as far as the ocean, (only for the truly
adventurous).
Across the river from the RV park are 11,000
acres of wildlife refuge open to the public. Enjoy fishing for bass,
crappie and catfish, hunting, off road vehicle area, or bird watching.
Five minutes due west of the RV park, enjoy
hydra-foil or jet ski boat races on the afterbay, fishing for Bass,
Crappie, and trout, or sailing on the forebay recreational areas. Sunday
afternoon you might enjoy watching the radio controlled planes flown by
our local plane club, or bring your own and join in.

fishing spot in California" Bassmaster Magazine. Enjoy boating,
water skiing, or rent a house boat and view the sunsets from the water.
